| What's New? |
In June 2006, the government released the new Québec Policy Respecting Public Transit – Better Choices for Citizens
– a policy that is directly in keeping with the implementation of
sustainable development through the economic, environmenta l, and social
dimensions of access to and use of public transit.
In the Memphremagog MRC, ''Transport des Alentours'' offers public
transit by offering the empty places in adapted transportation to the
general public. To benefit from public transit, one needs to
register with ''Transport des Alentours'' (819 843 3350) and advise 48
hours in advance to use the service.
''Transport des Alentours'' comes to Mansonville 3 times a week, It
leaves the Town Hall on Monday (10:45 am), Wednesday (8:45 am) and
Thursday (9:15 am) for Magog where you may get off at ''Les Galeries
Orford'' or ''Le Centre de santé Memphrémagog''. It returns to
Mansonville on Monday (12:30 pm), Wednesday (1:45 pm) and Thurday (1:45
pm) from the same locations.
The route includes Bolton Centre and Austin and clients may board or
exit anywhere on the route. The cost is $3.25 for each trip.
The Missisquoi North Volunteer Centre (450 292 3114) provides assistance in this matter.
The ''Transport des Alentours'' schedule for the whole MRC is included in the attached file.
