Council Meetings

The regular meetings of council are held the first Monday of each month at 7 pm. These meetings are held at the Town Hall located at 2, Rue Vale Perkins, Mansonville. Council meetings are preceded by public working sessions which are held at 9 am on the dates below.

DATES OF PUBLIC WORKING SESSIONS FOR 2012:

On January 7 for the regular meeting of January 9
On January 27 & 30 for the regular meeting of February 6
On February 24 & 27 for the regular meeting of March 5
On March 23 & 26 for the regular meeting of April 2
On April 27 & 30 for the regular meeting of May 7
On May 25 & 28 for the regular meeting of June 4
On June 22 & 25 for the regular meeting of July 3
On July 27 & 30 for the regular meeting of August 6
On August 24 & 27 for the regular meeting of September 4
On September 21 & 24 for the regular meeting of October 1
On October 26 & 29 for the regular meeting of November 5
On November 23 & 26 for the regular meeting of December 3

If Monday is a holiday, the regular meeting is postponed to the next day, same time and same place.

Exceptionally in January of each year, the regular council meeting is held the second Monday of the month.

The council may, as needed, hold special meetings on different days or times. The meetings are convened and signified in compliance with the legal requirements. On average, the Potton council holds six special meetings per year.

All decisions made by council at a public meeting are written in the minutes of the meeting. The minutes are published immediately after their adoption by the council at the next meeting. The adopted minutes are public documents which can be consulted and a copy of which can be obtained in person at the Town Hall, upon payment of fees for photocopies.
