A new photo exhibition featuring Potton seniors

Photo Exhibition and Life Stories: FROM PAST TO PRESENT

From January 24 to March 24, the Municipal Library will host the photo and life story exhibit “From Past to Present”. The exhibit features portraits of Potton’s seniors. The exhibition, created by Potton residents Danielle Poitras and Monique Gilbert, aims to change perceptions about aging. Participants were recruited in the summer of 2022 with the support of the CABMN and the Acte d’Amour organization.

Twenty-three people over the age of 80 agreed to be part of the project. “Each life story is actually a small fragment of a story that makes us realize that we age in so many different ways”, says Danielle Poitras.

The exhibition will have a vernissage for the general public on January 21, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Centre La Plume au Vent (309 Principale Street), and will then run from January 24 to March 24 at the municipal library (2 Vale Perkins Street). Parking will be available at Mansonville Elementary School for this event. Please note, however, that it is forbidden to park near the school wall, you must be on the fence side. In addition, the upper lane must be kept clear for the parking of the neighbouring house and in case of emergency or snow removal.
