ART & NATURE” THEME!
ART: The camp offers a variety of activities that focus on visual arts and theater. Our participants will do a little bit of everything: drawing, painting, sculpting, models, murals, puppets, role playing, improvisation, mimes… Each child will receive an “art journal” to fill out during their stay: for directed activities, to express their ideas and to create freely.
NATURE: The group will spend a lot of time outdoors, rain or shine: physical activities such as walking and swimming, observation and artistic interpretation of flora and fauna, use of materials collected in nature to create works of art or experiments, activities to awaken awareness of the benefits of nature and respect for it.
MOVEMENT: Every day, sports periods will be planned to make the youngsters burn off energy: team sports, games of skill, warm-up, water games, games to let off steam…
SPECIAL GUESTS: Every week, a different special guest will visit the camp and give a workshop or a demonstration of his or her expertise to the camp group. Examples from past years: Forestry engineer, author, musicians, draftsman, model maker, cameraman, choreographer, sculptor…
ACTIVITIES IN THE VILLAGE: We will regularly visit certain outdoor locations and facilities that are accessible and safe for our activities: Hiking trail, mill square, round barn site, municipal library and André Gagnon park facilities.
