An active, interactive circuit to get you moving in Potton!

Potton residents and visitors now have the opportunity to work out at Missisquoi River North Park, André-Gagnon sector, thanks to a new interactive active fitness circuit made up of six exercise stations.
The Municipality of the Township of Potton is proud to launch this circuit today, imagined by recreation manager Monique Gilbert and created in collaboration with volunteer members of the Potton Parks and Recreation Committee, graphic designer Gabriel Sherrer and the employees of the Parks and Green Spaces department.
Missisquoi North Park was already well-suited to walking and running, thanks to its trail along the river of the same name. The idea of creating a fitness circuit came about after a project to make the trail more accessible was launched: the installation of old Owl’s Head chairlift benches, thanks to financial support from the Conseil Sport Loisir de l’Estrie. The fitness circuit makes it easy for participants to work out without additional equipment, since exercises are performed with the support of each bench!
To take part in the circuit, visitors are asked to point their cell phones at a QR code or NFC tag to view interactive content on the MySmartJourney platform. This will lead the participants to instructions and videos of exercises to be done at each station. Participants can choose between three levels of difficulty, depending on their level of fitness, and repeat the exercises a few times before moving on to the next station.
The active fitness circuit is an effective way of working the whole body without any equipment, using only the body’s own weight, making it accessible to the majority of people.
We look forward to seeing you get moving at Potton. Have a great workout!
