Your participation in the Mayor’s golf tournament on July 7

A message from Daniel Giroux, President of the Optimist Club and Bruno Côté, Mayor: 

The Municipality of the Township of Potton and the Mansonville Optimist Club are organizing the 15th edition of the Mayor’s Golf Tournament at the Owl’s Head Golf Club on July 7th, 2023. This event is the main source of income to finance sports, cultural, recreational activities as well as sponsorship with schools for young people in our municipality. The Optimist Club has a positive impact on our entire community.

All of this is possible thanks to the financial support of partners like you. During the last edition, thanks to the generosity of our financial partners and our participating golfers, we raised more than $21,000, an essential amount to continue our activities year after year. We therefore solicit your generosity in supporting the various projects piloted by the Optimist Club.

Here are the activities that could be offered to the youth of Potton with the donations collected: Annual grants to the two schools, Outings to the Montreal Canadiens and Cirque du Soleil, Opti-Ski, Opti-Tennis, Opti-Music, Opti-Halloween, Opti-Génie.

Your contribution can be made by participating in this great day of golf where fun is guaranteed. This day will be followed by a dinner and an evening of entertainment with music.

Please find here the registration form. Since places are limited for the tournament, the first 120 golfers will have access to a golf cart, the other participants will have to walk the course. Receipt of the forms (including full payment) gives you priority for the carts. In addition, places for the dinner are also limited, priority is given to people accompanying a player.

In order to facilitate the organization of this day, we would appreciate if the registration form and the total payment reach us at the latest on June 23, 2023. Please mail it to Mansonville Optimist Club, C.P. 441, Mansonville, QC, J0E 1X0. No payment will be accepted the day of the tournament. If however, you do not wish to participate in the tournament, but would like to contribute in the form of a cash donation, a gift for our silent auction or a gift for the participants, you can send it to the above address. At your request, a receipt will be issued for all monetary donations.
